Owners of the camping "Apaļkalns" ask the guests to forget the everyday rush and worries, while enjoying a vacation at Raiskuma lake.
We offer you to stay in one of the "Vacation" or "Camping" houses, stop with a camper or a tent.
"Apaļkalns" attracts by its breadth, almost always clear sky, fresh air, breathtaking scenery, trails for walking or cycling, lake for swimming, fishing or boating. Here everyone can find an activity according to his/her age and interests.
Canoe trips along the Gauja - the most beautiful Latvian river are also offered this season!
The camping is welcoming quiet holiday lovers (music is not played, except the 23rd and 24th of June, when the summer solstice is celebrated throughout Latvia).
The camping is open from the 15th of April till the 1st of October.

Three thematic workshops on good practices related to ‘local products and gastronomy’, ‘traditional skills and trades’, as well as ‘railway heritage preservation and promotion’, with five study visits, took place on 7 – 10 June 2013 in South Pelion Municipality, Greece, organised in the frame of the INTERREG IVC project CHARTS.
On 15 May 2013 the Grant Contract within the 2nd Call for Proposals for 297 094 EUR of the Programme co-financing has been countersigned by the JMA of the Programme and Vidzeme Tourism Association, by its Chairman of the Board Mr Raitis Sijāts in Riga, Latvia. Cross-border Project for preservation of green heritage „Regeneration of Parks as Integral Part of Historical heritage” was accepted under the Priority 2 – common challenge, Measure 2.2. – preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage and support of local skills.
The recreation complex „Laimes ligzda” (the Nest of happiness) www.laimesligzda.lv is located in 80 km from Riga city and 8 km from Cesis town. Cesis is a small place with a history as long as 800 years and can offer very interesting sight seeing places, such as medieval castle ruins, landscape parks and church built in 13th century.
The 5th CHARTS project thematic workshop "Quality Criteria" will held in Gothenburg (Sweden) on 29 April - 1 May 2013 hosted by project partner Region Västra Götaland (Sweden) in order to exchange experience in the workshop`s topic between project partners and experts.
