Register for project <i>Green Heritage</i> kick-off meeting here!, Vidzeme Tourism Association

We are pleased to announce the kick-off meeting of Estonia-Latvia-Russia cross border cooperation Programme within European Neighborhood and Partnership instrument 2007-2013 project Rregeneration of parks as integral parts of historical heritage/ Green Heritage in June 19, in Turaida, at 11.00

The project is based on the idea of manor house, mansions parks as places for cultural activities and popular recreation aiming at the same time at supporting local business activities.

The overall objective of the project is to lay grounds for the regeneration of the parks of manor houses, in order to increase the role of parks in the well-being of local communities.

Among the planned activities of the project are: experience exchanges among landscape designers, historians, garden specialists, owners and managers of manor house complexes for the better regeneration of parks, and organisation of cultural events in the parks in order to attract visitors and to promote local producers and craftsmen and preserve traditional skills.

Project kick-off meeting is aimed at introducing project content, as well as establishing cooperation networks between culture heritage stakeholders – owners and managers of manor houses, tourism entrepreneurs, municipalities, regional tourism associations.
